I’m sure I blogged this before. An excerpt Dr. King’s final speech the night before his is assassinated. Prophetic. Dr. King is alluding to the story of Moses. Moses leads his people for YEARS in the dessert. Then, just as they near the land God has promised Moses and his people, God calls him to a mountain top. He gazes over the beautiful land, but God tells Moses that he won’t make it. He won’t step foot on it.
Watch how Dr. King steps back from the podium after saying these words. See how he has to be steadied and helped to a seat. He knew his life would soon come to and end. It didn’t stop him.
